Ben Richards was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1987 motion picture. In the book, Ben Richards is actually you’re average joe. Which makes a story a bit more appealing when an ordinary guy is having to face extraordinary challenges.
He was in his late twenties and had a family in the book, but a bit older wouldn’t hurt, aging him more giving him more to lose. The run is the run for his life, so its nothing else than relentless, exhausting and down right dirt. He should look as such.
